For those who love them, the Fender 'Deluxe' is one of (if not) the best thats ever been. This classic design was once considered the perfect club amp that has doubled as one of the greatest recording secrets of the past 65 years. These amps are considered some of the most dynamic and inspiring that have ever existed and can bend a myriad of styles and genres.
This particular 1954 5C3/5D3 12AX7 Fender Deluxe (transition era, stamped DG dating this one to July 54') sounds terrific and has the looks to match. This amplifier was employee owned and very well cared for. It has been recently serviced (we can share the details upon request) and is gig ready. The circuit is original inside apart from routine maintenance work. The cabinet has aged well and the original tweed covering looks better than any relic ever could. The grille cloth is free of any tears and the faceplate is absent of the typical oxidation that accompanies amps of this age.
The original 12" speaker has been replaced with a Tweed Deluxe Speed Shop A12Q which recreates the magic of the Jensen P12Q Alnico speaker. The back of the cabinet has been replaced with a nice tweed reproduction and the original power cable has been changed to a three-prong plug.
This amp has mojo in spades and is a delight to just plug and play. Sharing in this amp has been a wonderful experience and we look forward to it landing with its next owner. Please contact us with any questions.
