About Christie
Christie Macdonald has been passionate about guitar since she began playing at age 9. She began playing professionally at age 14 playing in pit orchestras for musicals, and has since gone on to become an active player in the Baltimore rock and jazz scenes.
She graduated from Towson University in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Jazz/Commercial Performance for guitar. Since graduation she has dedicated herself to teaching and performing.
Christie loves to teach all ages and skill-levels, and helps students cultivate and pursue their talent while focusing on their individual styles and musical preferences.
She can be seen performing across the Baltimore area and beyond at different venues, bars, restaurants, and special events. Her passion for playing and performing always returns to her lessons where she hopes to instill a lifelong love for guitar and playing music in her students.
