Since 2005, Adam Grimm and Satellite Amplifiers have been bringing their unique take to guitars, amps, and effects to players all across the world and have been enjoyed by touring musicians and hobbyists alike. Content on letting the circuit be the star, their no nonsense approach to amp building is all about everything you need and nothing you don’t. They sound great and it’s no surprise they’ve landed with plenty of pro players.
This particular amplifier is a custom one-off built by Grimm himself. Though it is in a Nievus chassis and shares the same control layout, this is unique - particularly in the transformer department. It features a vintage power transformer from Adam’s personal stash and a custom made output transformer made to emulate that of a Fender White student amplifier. With a single ended 6v6, single 12ax7, and solid state rectifier, this 5 watt head is all about re-creating the magic of tweed era student amplifiers.
The head is in very good to excellent condition with a small amount of wear to the tolex. The amp is fully functional and is built rock solid.
